Thousands of Unemployed Youth Besiege the Wa Jubilee Park to get Enlisted into the Ghana Immigration Service

Thousands of teeming unemployed youth thronged the  Jubilee Park  in Wa to part take in Ghana Immigration Service enlistment exercise.

Scores of unemployed youth comprising degree holders,HND holders,and Senior High School levers thronged the Wa Jubilee Park in the Upper West Region to under go enlistment into  Ghana Immigration Service. Similar exercise being carried out across every region as is a nation wide exercise.Toady,as at 6:00am about750 applicants both males and females with 500 Senior High School levers for recruited category, 250 degree and HND holders for the officers category had queued to take their turns in the day’s exercise.

The atmosphere is clam and devoid of chaotic scenes as everything is being done in an orderly manner ,despite the huge numbers present.Applicants were given text messages after applying online and qualifying  for the next stage. The enlistment exercise has been ear marked for two days,with the first day entailing body selection and documentation whiles  the second day will be for an aptitude test and  and a date yet to be communicated for the medical which will be the final stage of enliystment.

An applicant by Dubie Nurideen  interviewed said he has no hope of securing the job,because politicians are most likely to hijack the whole process thereby recruiting their party faithful and family members. A lady applicant by name Ibrahim Kande also lamented how she has no hope in the system and believed”whom you know will most likely engulf the whole exercise” a system where friends, family and relatives are given favouritism .

Many applicants fear they will be left to the mercy of the scorching sun as the day go by,but prayed their sufferings would pay off.
