The Deputy Minister of Health, Hon. Tina Gifty Mensah is currently in Germany to inspect some ambulances been procured by the government for the EGhana Ambulance Services.
The deputy minister’s visit is in line with the much talked about of the former government’s incompetence and the absence of value for money considerations in the procurement of makeshift or improvised ambulances for use in Ghana. Many of those Ambulance after expert scrutiny falls short of the international standards and thus their frequent break downs.
The minister was accompanied by some automobile engineers who are experts in ambulance vans and the Director General of the National Ambulance Services who together did the inspection to ensure the vans meet the international standards and also ensure value for money.
The Ambulances will soon be the country for operations as the are desperately needed to save lives across the country.
