Students in the Bolgatanga Senior High School today went on rampage after a colleague, Eliasu Zakari died at the Bolgatanga Hospital.
The students blamed the death of their colleague on the failure of the Senior House Master to sign an exeat for the student who hails from Lalsa/Deega in the Bawku East Municipality.
Seidu Sulemana Akurugu who was on the campus reported that the male students of the school vandalized some vehicles on the campus. He indicated that the timely intervention personnel of the Ghana Police Service restored calm to the school.
Other stakeholders who visited the school included the regional minister, Rockson Ayine, the Tongo District Director of Education and the Upper East regional director of education.
Addressing the students, the headmaster of the school told third year students to produce culprits who were rampaging on the campus by Monday.
He indicated that henceforth, he will not treat final year students as his children but rather as the candidates they are adding that they will suffer as a whole if they fail to point out individuals who went rampage and destroyed some valuables on the school’s campus.
